Ingredients:

  • cup Coconut Flour
  • cup Almond Flour
  • cup Psyllium Husk
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 3 tbsp Sweetener
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Mixed Spice
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Ground Cloves
  • 5 Eggs
  • 250 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Raisins

Glaze:

  • 1 Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Cream

Cooking Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the eggs and mix.
  3. Add the boiling water and mix until evenly combined.
  4. Roll into 8 equal balls and place on a baking tray.
  5. Mix an egg yolk and a tablespoon of cream together and with a pastry brush, lightly brush this mix over the buns, which will give them a golden finish.
  6. Leave a little bit of your dough to roll into long thin strips and cut it into pieces to the size of your buns to criss cross on the top.
  7. Bake at 180°C for 20-30 minutes until golden on the outside and cooked in the centre.
